Known as one of the biggest Volvo dealerships in the Southern Hemisphere, the new CMV Truck & Bus facility in Laverton is a true showcase of heavy transportation and commercial building design.

Providing specialist facilities for CMV, the new building provides: Head office functions; New truck and bus sales; Second-hand truck sales; Heavy vehicle servicing; New vehicle preparations and customisation; and Spare parts storage and sales.

With a passion for providing exceptional customer care, the new facility enables CMV to better service their brands including Volvo, Mack and UD Trucks.

Completed June 2017, Qanstruct worked closely with CMV and Ian Braham, to purposefully design and construct the facility. Paul Crawford, Managing Director of the CMV Group said, “We’ve taken a clean sheet of paper and built this dealership from the ground up all in attempt to enhance customer service and the experience for our employees”

Strategically located on Boundary Road, the new site is squarely in the epicentre of all things transport and logistics. Constructed on an 80,000m2 site, purchased specifically for the project, the new facility boasts a retail showroom and office of 5,167m2 and truck servicing facilities of 13,744m2 – overall the building area totals some 20,490m2.

From the moment you walk into the building you are greeted by a vaulted showroom with supporting offices meeting rooms and amenities. From above, a mezzanine looks down on the showroom providing the location for additional offices and support facilities. Training and educating are a critical component of the facility and the new site is equipped with facilities for staff working at the site, and other staff working within the CMV Group

The service centre is where the impressive scale of the facility is highlighted with some100 roller doors providing access into the centre to enable all manner of transport equipment to be maintained and customised. As with sites as large as this one, support facilities for site are critically important and CMV have provided for their staff with extensive lunchrooms and gymnasiums.
