Sigma Healthcare, a leading Australian full-line wholesaler and distribution business to community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy and aged care in Australia, re-engaged Qanstruct for the construction of their latest facility located in Truganina, Victoria, after Qanstruct had successfully completed their previous project in Kemps Creek, NSW in 2019.

The new location is strategically located with direct access to major transportation routes and means.

The new Victorian facility consists of a 20,000m2 temperature-controlled warehouse, 550m2 freezer/chiller, 1,010m2 single storey office, double canopies (covering 2300m2 of covered loading and unloading space), twenty-five on grade and two recessed loading docks. Lastly, there is another 20,000m2 of “ready to build” future expansion space prepared for this rapidly growing business.

Sigma Healthcare has streamlined efficiencies by installing an impressive, fully automated GTP (goods to person) picking system, significantly increasing the company’s supply chain and distribution capabilities.

Sigma Healthcare has also adopted environmentally sustainable practices through power generation from a 500kW solar panel system installed on the warehouse roof, and harvesting rainwater via a 60,000l on-site tank for reticulation through the property.

The project reached practical completion in September 2020.
