Officially opened on 30 May 2018 by Masanori Katayama, the President and Representative Director of Isuzu Motors (Japan), the recently opened Isuzu HQ, located in Truganina, Victoria, houses:
- Parts Distribution Centre
- Truck Development Department
- Industrial Engines Division
- Head Office
- National Training Centre for Technitians
- Ten-bay Truck Workshop
- Truck-Specific Showroom
The construction of the Isuzu HQ allowed the company to centralise operations which were previously spread out across Melbourne.
Phil Taylor, Isuzu Australia Director and Chief Operating Officer, said “It provides an environment for enhanced and more immediate collaboration and communication between the various operations of Isuzu in Australia”.
Masanori Katayama and Phil Taylor were joined by Kazuyoshi Matsunaga, Consul-General of Japan, David Hodgett, Deputy Leader of the Opposition in Victoria, Telmo Languiller, State Member for Tarneit and Walter Villagonzalo, Deputy Mayor for Wyndham City.
A Qanstruct representative said “It was fantastic to play a part in Isuzu’s purpose built Australian HQ. Their focus on staff, culture, environment and customers was paramount from the design phase, right through to construction and fit-out. They now have a facility that is not only state of the art, but they are able to deliver more efficient and comprehensive services to their customers through consolidating their operations”.
