Prime Minister Visits Avalon International Airport Construction Site

With the completion of construction of the Avalon Airport International Terminal in sight, Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Sarah Henderson MP for Corangamite visited the site for an inspection of the Federally funded facilities.

“This is an incredibly exciting development for the greater Geelong region,” Prime Minister Scott Morrison Said.

“Flights will start between here and Kuala Lumpur with Air Asia at the end of the year with two flights per day and around 440,000 passengers annually and hundreds of new jobs for the Geelong Region,” said Sarah Henderson MP.

The location of this airport will allow easier access to the Great Ocean Road and as more airlines join the Avalon international Airport carriers, infrastructure and jobs will increase for the Geelong Region.

Qanstruct Project Manager, Trent Franks said: “One of the most important considerations for a build of this nature is getting the design and design intent correct in the first instance”.

The Qanstruct workers behind Avalon Airport’s new international terminal have received a glowing endorsement from the nation’s Prime Minister.
